We prioritise the safety and security of your funeral plan funds. That’s why all payments are entrusted to the Compare Funerals Purpose Trust—a robust and independent financial structure designed to protect your money until it is needed. This commitment to Funeral Plan Security Spain ensures your funds remain safeguarded at every stage.
Funeral Plan Security Spain – Peace of Mind for You and Your Family The Compare Funerals Purpose Trust provides assurance that your funds will always be available when needed most. With regulated trustees overseeing the process, we ensure full transparency and security, giving you and your family confidence that your funeral costs are covered—whatever the circumstances.
An Independent and Secure Trust The Compare Funerals Purpose Trust operates as a separate legal entity, independent from Compare Funerals itself. This ensures that your funds remain safeguarded, even in the unlikely event of Compare Funerals ceasing operations.
How Funds Are Managed Payments made toward your funeral plan are placed into the trust, where they are securely held. These funds are managed responsibly and can only be accessed under strict conditions, guaranteeing they are used solely for their intended purpose.
Releasing the Funds Once secured in the trust, funds can only be released under two specific circumstances:
Upon Death – Payment to the Funeral Director When the time comes, the funds are paid directly to the designated funeral director to cover the agreed services. An invoice from the tanatorio (funeral home) and the client’s death certificate are required to authorise the payment.
Cancellation by the Client Should you choose to cancel your funeral plan in writing, the funds will be refunded to you, minus any applicable fees.
In the Event Compare Funerals Ceases Trading Since the trust operates independently, your funds remain fully protected. In such cases, you have the flexibility to transfer the funds to another funeral plan provider or your chosen funeral director. Alternatively, you can opt to have the funds returned to you, enabling you to make your own arrangements.
